According to the Google Economic Impact Report by Access Partnership , USD 3 trillion of economic benefits are expected for businesses in key Asia-Pacific countries in 2030, if AI-powered products and solutions are adopted.1 This has implications for the workforce across all sectors and backgrounds emphasizing the need to cultivate a robust pool of AI talent. Despite the significant opportunities that AI presents for the economy, a collective effort is necessary to ensure no worker is left behind.

Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), supported by Google.org and Asian Development Bank, is helping workers and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) build AI knowledge and skills to increase their chances of success in an economy being reshaped by artificial intelligence.

We are excited to announce the 49 recipients selected by AVPN in 2024 – these organizations are united by a shared mission to empower vulnerable communities, closing the AI skills gap and ensuring equitable access to the opportunities of tomorrow.

For Nonprofits

Google is providing eligible nonprofits across APAC access to enterprise-grade privacy and security protections on the Gemini app and NotebookLM through the $0/month Google Workspace for Nonprofits plan, along with AI learning resources. Nonprofits interested in more generative AI features, including Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and higher limits in NotebookLM Plus can purchase advanced licenses at up to 75% discount off standard pricing.

Additionally, Google.org is supporting Infoxchange with $2M funding to reach 10,000 nonprofits across APAC with AI training and tools, including personalized learning journeys, live expert webinars, self-paced learning libraries, online forums, and non-profit action planning consultations.
